Is my popcorn ceiling safe to remove?
If your home was built before the mid-1980s, the texture can contain asbestos. We have a sample lab-tested before any work starts. If it comes back positive, removal is handled by a licensed abatement contractor before we finish the ceiling.
How messy is it?
Removal is messy by nature, which is why we seal the room and cover everything first. You get the room back clean, not just finished.
How long does popcorn ceiling removal take?
A typical room takes a few days from containment through paint, because the skim coat has to dry properly between steps. Your written schedule shows each stage.
Can you add recessed lighting at the same time?
Yes — it's the best time to do it, since the ceiling is already being refinished. We'll plan the layout with you before work starts.
